Muffy and I went out to find Seana and Charlie on our way home. Seana was heading into Guyton, GA, the next to last time station in the race when we caught up with her. She seemed really glad to see us so we headed back to Savannah to see her finish.
All I can say is that I will never know how much suffering Seana really went through because she was too much of a champion to talk about it at length. I will say that if I had suffered as much difficulty as she did, it would have been very hard for me to continue or want to continue. She is the epitome of courageous.
Seana did indicate that she would not come back to do RAAM again. I know she says that every year but I think this time she meant it. Wolfgang and Danny also mentioned that they too were probably not going to return. I'm telling you, there's a reason this RAAM was dubbed the "nightmare RAAM"!
We then left Savannah to look for Charlie and found him in great spirits heading towards the time station in Warrenton, GA. about 150 miles or so from the finish. Certainly he has finished a long time ago from this post, I'm guessing in around 12 days 4-8 hours?
