1-Day Ride to GWBR - History

The Inland route goes down Hwy 25, going through Hollister, Bitter Water, Peach Tree Rd, Indian Valley Rd, and into Paso Robles, a total of 162 miles with 5400 ft of climbing. With shared driving, people ride their bikes about 100 miles with 2500 to 3800 ft of climbing. We leave San Jose at 7:00am and get there by 5:00 to 5:30pm.

Mike and Karen McGeough were riding their bikes to Hollister also, but then Mike crashed, cracking 3 ribs, resulting in both Mike and Karen having to abandon the ride down.
